A great race with 43 cars in attendance Barton Motorsports had a strong run in the heats with Larry Jackson running a strong 3rd until he and MaGrath got together in turn 1. Larry fought hard to get back his spot but with 2 laps left he was able to return to 5th. After the race the ROC officials said he jumped a position and scored him 6th to put us in the B-main. Larry drove a smart race and finished 2nd and earned the spot in the main.

Other action saw the 52 of Todd Smith take a nasty flip on the frontstretch in the qualifying heat. Racing was fast but slowed after the B-mains was stopped by rain. Racing resumed after the 4 hour rain delay.

The feature started clean and fast until a lap 3 tangle between Staubitz and Putney would bring out the yellow. The accident would take out 4 cars in total with Staubitz making a return but not for long. The yellow would fly again for Zainer who developed a flat. The yellow would fly again later around lap 18 and this would be the final yellow for the night. The race would go green from this point on with Brittian doing a fine job of leading the race. First Leaty tried his luck on him but was unsuccessful. Ken who started back in 24 spot was able to charge thru the pack and make a run on Brittian. Kent's car was the faster on the track but was unable to use the outside to get by Brittain. At the end it who be Brittian, G. Kent, Potrzebowski, Leaty and Rusty Smith rounding out the top 5. Larry Jackson settled for a 17th place finish as the handle of the car never returned after the rain. With no late caution fixing the car was not an option.

On to Tioga on Aug 17th for ROC race number 5.
