Getting to the track proved to be a chore as we got caught in traffic and stuck at the border crossing for 2 1/2 hours. We arrived at Wyoming late and were told practice was over. The track gave us a few laps just to shake the bugs off and we missed the draw for the heat so we started last in the second heat. The heat didn't look much better as Larry spun coming off of 2 and was never able to fully recover. He would cruise at the back for the remainder of the heat and finish last. During the down time before the start of the feature Bruce Putney cam over and gave us a hand on the setup. It help make the car alot quicker in the feature as Larry was able to make moves and put himself as high as 9th. While running in 9th he would make contact with Staubitz and the RoC officials send Larry to the tail. He would have to move himself through traffic again. With 4 laps remaining Larry spun off of 4 and would have to restart the race tail. He made some great moves putting himself into the 11 spot with one lap to go and on the final lap Hirshman and Willis would slip high and Larry was able to grab the 9th place. Thanks go out to all the crew and to Bruce Putney for his help. On to Chemung in 2 weeks.
