July 3rd Lancaster Speedway
ROC Race 2
A great night of racing with 39 cars in the pits for the ROC 50 lap event. Our night started well with the draw earning the 3rd starting spot in the first heat. It was a fast heat with some strong runners like Fidanza Mangus and McGrath to name a few. Larry Jackson was able to hold on for a 3rd place finish and earned the chance at the redraw for the feature. In the redraw Larry picked the number 4 spot.
The feature started with some early cautions with a few minor incidents. On lap 16 Jackson was pushed up out of the groove and into the marbles causing him to spin out of turn 2. The incident collected a bunch of cars. When the race would resume Ulrich would pull out a good lead and hold of the charges of Hossfeld and Fidanza. At the finish Ulrich would pull out the upset and earn his first Modified win followed by Hossfeld, Fidanza, Kent and Putney. The next ROC race will be held at Holland Speedway on July 19 at 5pm.
