May 3rd Lancaster Speedway

It was a cool night for racing. Barton Motorsports was represented by Larry Jackson driving the newly number 84 car. In the heat Larry started 8th in the second and finished a strong 5th putting pressure on Putney for 4th. The heats were won by Fidanza and McGrath. Come feature time the night had cooled down quite a bit making the track quite slick. On the start Hossfeld and Hehr would lead them to the green and Littlefield would get into the rear of Troyer sending Kenny around and Littlefield to the pits for a new tire. We the race got going it was a good tight race with lots of action. The night would turn sour for us as Jackson would get into the wall hard entering turn 3 tearing up the body in the foam. The car came around like a whip making us believe something had broken in the rear. The race would resume and as it went along Fidanza started to put a charge on Hossfeld for the lead. The two would race hard and clean for a number of laps until a late caution came out. On the restart Staubitz got a run on Sege trying to take over 2nd from him. The caution would fly again for the last time with 2 to go before Staubitz could finish the pass. On the last restart Sege would pull away from Donny and not allow him to get another run on him. Hossfeld would hold of Fidanza for the win with Staubitz, Flanigan and Mangus rounding out the top 5. Photos from tonight came be found on our photo page.
