July 1st Lancaster Speedway Race 3 ROC North

The debut of the new car started well as the car looked fast right out of the box. The feature was going as planned until we were sent to the rear by officials for taking out the 59 car. Jackson tried to slow for the loose car of Hehr but was nailed from behind. The official didn't care to hear our side of the story and quickly sent Larry to the rear. Coming back through the pack Larry cut the left front down and ended his night in the turn one wall. Bobby Holmes went on to win.

May 27th Oswego Speedway Race 1 ROC North.

 The first ROC race of 2006 turned up a disappointing run for the Barton Motorsports team. Right from the get go we had handling problem due to a power steering issue. By feature time we were able to get the pieces to patch the car back together but were never able to put a charge on the field. In the end we had to hold on to a 20th place finish and give up our mulligan for the year. It was Mike Leaty who lead the race from green to checkered to capture his fist ROC victory  of his career. Our next run is at Wyoming County in Perry NY on Father's day June 18th. We look forward to the next race and putting the last race behind us.
